In Years 10 and 11 at FIS, students immerse themselves in preparation for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). While it is compulsory for students to delve into English, Mathematics, and at least one Science subject, we extend the liberty to choose additional subjects from finance, humanities, and modern foreign languages, allowing students to tailor their education to their strengths and interests.

This freedom of subject choice empowers students to showcase their learning abilities and commence their journey towards specialization in their preferred areas of study. The culmination of this educational phase is marked by written (summative) examinations conducted in May/June at the end of Year 11, which assess their proficiency and comprehension of the IGCSE curriculum.
